Apply for the Better Market Street Citizen's Advisory Committee - September 7th Deadline

BOMA San Francisco Members:

The City and County of San Francisco is looking to create a Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) for the Better Market Street Project.  The goal of this project is to create a unifying vision to revitalize Market Street to be more than just a transportation route, but a world class vibrant public space through public realm improvements and enhancements.

BOMA San Francisco Members that reside in San Francsico are strongly encouraged to apply for the Better Market Street Project's CAC.  Click here for an application and here for more information on the CAC.

The Better Market Street (BMS) project will require substantial outreach efforts; which will employ a number of strategies in order to ensure broad participation and community feedback throughout the life of the project. One means of to achieving this effort is through the formation of a Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC).

A CAC is a representative group of stakeholders that meets regularly to discuss issues of common concern. CACs have been used for many years and are not in themselves innovative, yet they can be used very creatively. Representation of agencies on a CAC is highly desirable as a means of interaction between local residents and their government.

Completed applications should be submitted to the San Francisco Department of Public Works at the address listed below. Faxed  (415) 554.8243) and emailed copies (bettermarketstreet@sfdpw.org) are also acceptable. Applications should be submitted by 5 pm Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
